Inaugural year sees a win and points lead for Bettenson

Dean Bettenson takes his first Pro Mod Win

Mission BC. Aug. 5, 2018 – Rome Awde.  Dean Bettenson has taken a win at the Langley Loafers Old Time Drags at Mission Raceway Park in Mission B.C.

Bettenson, in only his third WDRL Belair Power Pro Mod Series race, has captured his first win, and he had to work very hard for it.  Plagued with transmission problems since he built the car, Bettenson had to run the elimination rounds on Sunday with a borrowed Turbo 400 Pro Mod transmission from Jay Syvertsen of J&S Powersports.

With the new tranny, Bettenson ran consistent rounds all day and came to meet up with veteran driver Joe Delehey in the final.  Although Delehey got the light on him, he could not pull it to the top end and Bettenson drove around him for the Win.

This is only Dean’s second win in a race car, and he could not be happier getting a big one in the new 57 Belair.
